Recipe Monday- Mock DQ Treatzza Pizza Recipe

Ahh, DQ Treatzza Pizza.  I remember making these when I was 16, working at DQ.  Those were the days...

Treatzza Pizza's are something from my husband's childhood that he and his sisters talk about all of the time.  They even wrote in to DQ asking why they stopped making them.  I have to agree, they were pretty fantastic.

Anyway, I couldn't find a recipe even close.  The only one that I found for a Mock Treatzza Pizza had a peanut butter cookie crust...which isn't a Treatzza Pizza.  So, I went off making my own.  I found a simple recipe for an oreo cookie crust, then remembered what flavors of pizza DQ used to offer.  My husbands favorite was the m&m.  We fed 8, so we made two pizzas.  They were delicious!

(This recipe was made by me, and photos are owned by Eli & Ellie.

{Mock DQ Treatzza Pizza}

Ingredients: (for 1 pizza)
15 Oreo Cookies
1/4 cup melted butter
1 sm. cup (from the store) of DQ vanilla soft serve

For m&m flavor:
1/2 cup of m&m candies, chopped
1/4 cup (ish) Chocolate shell syrup

For Snickers flavor:
3 Snickers candy bars, chopped into small pieces
1/4 c (ish) Chocolate Shell Syrup

For Banana Split flavor:
1/2 cup of chopped strawberries
1/2 cup of sliced bananas
1/4 cup of Chocolate Shell Syrup

Place oreos in a gallon bag, and with a rolling pin, crush them until they are tiny pieces.  You can also use a food processor to crumble them.  Place them in a bowl with melted butter and mix until well moistened.  Place mixture on flat surface covered in wax paper (I used cutting boards) and place in the freezer for at least 30 minutes before moving on.  (I did them over night) A few hours before serving, get your ice cream from DQ.  Dollop fresh ice cream (do not place ice cream in your freezer, it will not be soft serve any longer!) and smooth out all over oreo mixture, leaving a 1/2" crust.  Chop your candy, or cut your fruit and place on top of ice cream.  Drizzle chocolate shell syrup over the candy.  Freeze pizza for an hour or two before cutting and serving.  Ta-da!
