Oi. I don't know about y'all, but this has been an exceptionally long week for us! We were TOO spoiled with all of the 3 & 4 day weekends throughout the holidays. Not to mention our second car pooped out on us, so Matt has been driving our Element to work while the girls and I stay home. Needless to say, I'm ready to bust out of this joint! (I haven't physically left this house since Tuesday other than to grab the mail outside of the door.) Tonight we are getting a group of our friends together to get some burgers and beers while Grandma and Grandpa hang out with the girls. Some much needed adult interaction, might I say! Anyway- here are some fun tips to use this weekend and next week to have some affordable fun with your family! Enjoy!
Throw a few glow sticks into the bathtub
before bed and turn the lights of for some clean glowing fun! The whole bathroom will glow!
If you're in the Twin Cities Area, Go bowling for only $25
Living Social is doing a deal for 6 people, only $25. Deal includes 2 hours of bowling, shoes, pizza and soda for only $25. Can't get better than that!
Put down the remote
and read a book or play a board game with hubs instead of watching TV.
Have a finger food buffet
instead of a typical dinner or lunch this weekend. Make fun appetizers, cheese
and crackers, dips and cut up veggies and enjoy it on a blanket on the floor.
McDonalds is doing a Cold Weather deal
where if you buy a breakfast sandwich or Big Mac at regular price you can get a second one at the price of yesterday's temperature. Since it's getting cold in MN, it's a great deal. (If you're into McDonalds, that is. I thought it was a cool deal!)
Write out a list of family goals for this week.
Do it all togeher. Even the toddlers get a say! This is a great way for them to learn what a goal is and how rewarding it is to accomplish one!
That's all for now.
Have a good weekend everyone!
